In everything, love simplicity.

- Saint Francis de Sales

About
Intro:

Who knows what this site will end up being. But how it came about started with a strong desire for simplicity so I could spend more time on things important to me. That made my smartphone the first and most natural target as it was the biggest thief of my time. It took me a long time (almost two years) to finally make the jump to a dumbphone (hereafter "wisephone"), but in the weeks leading up to the final jump I'd made a lot of leadup decision that I could tell were going to make big improvements in my life. Then after the jump the benefits began to wash over almost every aspect of my life. I knew it would be good, but I didn't realize how good.

I'm also serious and intentionally getting more serious about my Catholic faith. I came back to my faith during the long process of ditching my smartphone. Now that I look back at the transition it's pretty obvious that the call back to my Catcholic faith, and the general call to simplify and ditch substantially meaningless things and activities were a single call. And that single call also included a call to living a more loving, meaningful life centered on Jesus Christ and to humbly accept the indescribably sweet joy that comes from trying to radically follow Him and from accepting His mercy.

So I suppose you can expect musings which could be broadly categorized under the above description. Hope you enjoy!
