If your most loved and precious friend were at your home, would you be completely insensible to his presence? What about your wife or children? Do you not pay attention when your toddler starts walking toward the stairs even when you're fully engrossed in a task, and just barely her the crinkle of her diaper and the soft pat of her feet on the thick carpet? And while your wife and children are precious to the point your love for them brings tears to your eyes from time to time, is Christ not more precious?
The God and man who was tortured and died for you? Who made this life even possible? Who loved you into existence? Without whom your wife and children would not even be possible? Is it not okay to throw yourself at the Most Loving and Most Kingly? It is, of course. Obviously you must go about your day. For you must eat. And even our least glamorous and invisible tasks can bring greater glory to God.
